Welcome to Troop 919

Welcome to Boy Scout Troop 919, located in Pfafftown, North Carolina (near Winston-Salem). Our Troop is fortunate to be sponsored by two churches in our community ... Brookstown United Methodist and Olivet Moravian Churches. We and meet at our Scout Hut on Yadkinville Road each Tuesday at 7:30 PM. Troop 919 was first chartered in 1955 and we celebrated our 50th anniversary of Scouting in Forsyth County, North Carolina in 2005!

We are a boy-led organization and an active outdoors troop. Our youth leaders plan and lead our weekly meetings where scout skills are learned and practiced. We enjoy a camping trip monthly and some of our recent activities have included backpacking, hiking, biking, spelunking, rappelling, whitewater canoeing and whitewater rafting. Some might call us a high adventure Troop. We don't think of ourselves in that way, but we do get to do some pretty cool things in the outdoors and backwoods!

Crews from Troop 919 have hiked the backcountry at Philmont Scout Ranch in 2003, 2007 and 2008. Another Troop 919 crew will be heading to Philmont in 2010!

Many of the Scouts and adult leaders at Troop 919 at active participants in the Order of the Arrow and Wahissa Lodge #118

The Old Hickory Council's Raven Knob Scout Reservation is one of our Troop's favorite destinations. We spend a week there each summer and head there frequently during the year
