District Note: March Round Table Topics (Tuesday, March 11, 2008)

TO PIEDMONT DISTRICT SCOUTERS:

Our Piedmont District Round Table meeting is this Thursday, March 13, 7:00 PM at Maple Springs United Methodist Church on Reynolda Road.  This is YOUR meeting to help YOU become a better Scout Leader to help provide a High Quality Program for your unit.  It cannot help YOU if YOU are not there!

CUB SCOUT SESSION:  
CUB SCOUT MAGIC - Tips, Tricks, & Techniques to use in planning activities, crafts, and programs for your next month's Den or Pack meeting.

BOY SCOUT SESSION:  
LOST SCOUT PROCEDURES - One of a Scout Leader's and parent's worst nightmares is losing a Scout on an outing.   This presentation will show you how to prevent that and what happens from an operational standpoint if it does occur.   There will be a light meal for the Boy Scout leaders attending the Boy Scout Round Table beginning at 6:00PM and ending promptly at 6:45PM.  The presentation will begin at 7:00PM.   Sponsored by David Curtis and Director Monty.

VENTURE SCOUT SESSION:
HOW TO ADDRESS CYBER BULLYING AND VENTURING YOUTH INTERNET SAFETY - Always a great place for ideas & discussion for leading this unique arm of Scouting for a coed group of older youth.

RE-CHARTER/CQU TURN IN:
2008 Charters are due by March 15.  If you have not yet turned in the recharter for your unit, you can bring it with you to Round Table and leave it with one of the Commissioners or Scouting Professionals just prior to the meeting.  Your work will then be checked for you during the meeting and you can then check on the status after the meeting.  Don't forget your required signatures and don't forget your checkbook!

This will also be an excellent time to turn in your 2008 Centennial Quality Unit Goal Form if you have not done so already.  (These were due Feb. 15.)
