District Note: Derby / Day Camp / PDAC / Kunatah (Friday, March 14, 2008)

TO PIEDMONT DISTRICT SCOUTERS:

The Piedmont District will be hosting our District Pinewood Derby Race this weekend at St. Peter’s Center in Winston-Salem (this is the same location as last year). Registration will be from 9 to 9:30 am with RACING BEGINNING AT 10 AM. First, second, and third place trophies will be awarded for SPEED as well as winners for Best Looking Car and Most Original Design.

Food will be available for purchase from the following menu:
BREAKFAST
Donuts                        $  .50
2 Donuts/Drink                $1.65

LUNCH
Chicken                $2.00
Chicken/Fries/Drink        $4.00
Hot Dogs                $1.50
2 Hot Dogs/Fries/Drink        $3.50
Fries                        $1.00

DRINKS
Tea/Lemonade/Juices        $  .65
Water                        $1.00

Food will be located in the Food Court and available 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM.

Day Camp 2008 (aka Piedmont Pow Wow) will be July 7 - 11, 8:30-4:30 at Speas Elementary School on Polo Road (physically behind the Scout Office)

This year's Piedmont District Day Camp will include a prepared lunch, swimming, Indian games and crafts - all covered in the cost of $70 per scout.
There will be multi-child family discounts:  $70 for first scout, $55 for each additional scout (max 3).
Register by June 16 to avoid the $10 late fee.  THERE WILL BE NO ON SITE REGISTRATION THIS YEAR.

Piedmont District Advancement Camporee (formerly known as Piedmont Expo) will be April 25 - 27 at the Methodist Children's Home on Reynolda Road.
Pre-registration = $12 due by April 17.  Registration after April 17 is $15.  Parking is free.  Packets were distributed at Round Table.
